Thirteen Colonies

The Thirteen Colonies were a group of British colonies in the modern-day United States on the Atlantic Coast. In 1774, the colonies began uniting and expelling British officials in 1775. In 1776, Congress signed the Declaration of Independence and fought against the British in the American Revolutionary War.
