Career
Woodward began his career with Chevron in 1987 within its marketing training program. He later joined Bausch & Lomb as an analyst and then advanced to Ray-Ban,[8] where he served as Director of Global Image Marketing and played a role in expanding the brand's retail presence, including the launch of its first flagship store.[9] He helmed the highly visible placement in the 1997 film Men in Black, helping reinforce the brand's cultural prominence.[10]
In 1998, Woodward moved to Calvin Klein as Vice President of Global Marketing and Public Relations. He subsequently joined Movado Group as Global Chief Marketing Officer, overseeing marketing initiatives for a portfolio of luxury watch brands that included Movado, Concord, Coach, and Tommy Hilfiger.[5][11] His final corporate role was with Omnicom's agency Arnell Group.[5][7][12]
Woodward entered the fashion sector in 2002 with the launch of the Scott Woodward tee shirt line, which was carried by retailers such as Bloomingdale's, Saks Fifth Avenue, Fred Segal, and Kitson,[10][11] and appeared on Sony's Life & Style alongside Kimora Lee Simmons.
In 2006, he established SEW Branded, a marketing and creative consultancy focused on brand development and consumer engagement.[7] Through the agency, Woodward worked on campaigns for a range of clients and initiatives, including projects associated with Lady Gaga's Born This Way Foundation.[3][7][13]
Woodward has also collaborated with luxury salon brand Warren-Tricomi in a creative leadership capacity.[11][12] In 2015, he publicly stated that One Direction's Action 1D campaign closely resembled an anti-bullying initiative his agency had previously developed for the group that won a Clio Award.[3][14]
