Samantha Vance is a Community Activist for Women & Girls, Nonprofit Executive in Sports and Entertainment, Political Advisor, Relationship Strategist, Author, and Speaker. Sam's executive leadership experience features a cross-sector perspective in business operations, nonprofit development, and government affairs. She teaches others how to expand their network and build social capital. Serving as a champion for women and girls, Sam is known as a mentor to many, who learned her passion from her mother to help those in need, especially those underserved. Her purpose is to make a positive impact on the lives of others. Sam is nationally known for her work with clients in politics, music, major league sports like the NFL, NBA, UFC, and WBA. Sam is the Founder & Board President of Ladies Learning to Lead (L3), a 501(c)3 statewide Florida nonprofit she nurtured since 2010, serving over 5,000 young ladies in six locations throughout the State of Florida. L3 prepares young ladies for college, careers, & life.
Sam was appointed by the Mayor of Tallahassee as Commissioner on the Status of Women & Girls, and appointed by the Governor to serve as an advisor to the on the Florida Delinquency Prevention State Board within the Department of Juvenile Justice. Sam is an inductee in the Tallahassee State College Hall of Fame. She has been recognized as one of Tallahassee's Top 25 Women You Need to Know, a recipient of the Community Engagement Award, Tallahassee’s Top 20 Professionals Under 40, and selected as an honoree for the 2019 Tallahassee African American History Calendar. Sam has been a guest lecturer teaching Entrepreneurship for the prestigious School of Business at Florida A&M University, and a guest speaker on social impact for over seven years for the College of Social Work Master’s program at Florida State University.
Sam earned a B.S. in political science, minor in public administration from Florida State University, and a certificate in Nonprofit Management from the FSU Jim Moran Institute. One of her favorite quotes is “People don’t care how much you know until they know how much you care.”
