Professor Kelly began his career in the non-governmental sector and volunteering roles before establishing himself as a public finance expert. He served as a senior treasury inspector in various capacities, including Divisional Treasurer, Chief of Account, Chief of Expenditures, Chief of Computer Services, Chief of Deposits and Consignments, and Chief of Audits and Investigations at the regional treasury in Buea, Southwest Region.[2][3]

Transitioning to the international arena, Professor Kelly Mua Kingsly made significant contributions during his tenure at the United Nations as a Deputy, playing a pivotal role in advancing the organization's mission. Subsequently, he dedicated over seven years to African Development Bank projects focused on semi-rural and urban areas, excelling in a consultancy capacity.[4][5]

Currently, Professor Kelly Mua Kingsly holds the esteemed position of Director for Finance Operations in his home state. He has also served as a Designated Representative at the Regional Advisory Commission on Financial Markets (COSuMAF) and is actively involved as a censor at the Central Bank of Central African States (BEAC).[6] Furthermore, he is the Designated National Authority for the Global Green Bond Initiative.[7][8]
