Omar Parker (born November 3, 1997), also known as Tumbleweed, is an American film producer and internet personality. Best known for his viral internet brands, Parker began producing content in 2015 when he was just 17 years old.
Early life
Omar Parker was born in San Diego, Califorina on November 3, 1997[3]. He is of Lebanese and Irish descent and is an only child. His father, George, was a web designer. His mother Ghida attended the American Musical and Dramatic Academy.
Parker attended Montana State University from 2015-2019, graduating with honors in film & photography.
Producing career
While in college he started Egerton Crescent Productions with Charles Burt his producing partner. Together they would produce 16 features, 24 short films, and 2 mini series in just under a decade. With titles landing as official selections at every festival under the sun including Sundance, Cannes, Tribeca, TIFF, Sitges, and showing in over 100 nations, while also being acquired by companies like Gravitas Ventures. These films featured talent like Michael Madsen, Eric Roberts, Fred Melamed, Barry Bostwick, Jane Kaczmarek, George Lazenby, Michael Pare, Forrest Goodluck, Daniel Baldwin, Kevin Sorbo, Tom Sizemore, Danielle Harris, & Brinke Stevens.
Parker has also been a producer and content creator for many digital brands, including Preston, Tumbleweed, Dr. Insanity, & Captain's Log. He has collaborated with many noteable YouTubers including Mr. Beast, Mark Rober, Unspeakable, ZHC, & Lachlan.
Personal life
Parker proposed to his college girlfriend, Bridgett Parker in 2021 at the Dallas Reunion Tower. He was aided by many celebrities including Jon Taffer, Sean Astin, Billy Boyd, James Cosmo, and Heidi Wattney. They were married in San Antonio in May of 2022. The couple met in a television production class. Parker was the teaching assistant. Chart House in the Tower of the America's hosted the reception, where the party reportedly went through over 120 bottles of wine.
He has been diagnosted with ADHD. Parker is a fan of the Texas Rangers and Houston Astros. He is also a Count in the micronation of Sealand.
