Saurav Chaulagain, whose screen name is Nutan, is a Nepalese actor known for his roles in Crime Files, Nepal's first crime and investigation series inspired by true events, and the series Aarati[1]. He was born in Nijgadh, Nepal[2]. He began his acting journey in 2019 with a Hindi play in Delhi, India, while studying acting. He studied acting in Padarpan Films And Theatre Institute, Delhi, India. During his time in Delhi, he performed in various Hindi plays and appeared in several Hindi short films.

Before landing his role as the antagonist in Aarati, Nutan appeared in several Nepalese films and music videos as an extra. In addition to acting, he has worked as an assistant director on various projects. Nutan is also passionate about teaching acting and has trained many aspiring actors in movie workshops. He is a poet as well. His most favorite actor is Irrfan Khan[3].
