Shri Navneet Chaturvedi is an Indian politician, journalist, National President of the Janata Party currently. Chaturvedi is a highly respected figure in journalism and politics, born in Bikaner, Rajasthan, in a Saryu Parin Brahmin family and has greatly contributed to the growth and influence of Janata Party.

Early Life and Education[edit | edit source]

Navneet Chaturvedi was born in Bikaner, Rajasthan, and received his education in different cities of the state. He was born into a family of migrants to Rajasthan from Chhapra, Bihar, four generations ago and showed interest in investigative journalism. Chaturvedi prior to engaging in active politics was engaged in the profession of an investigative journalist concentrating on political intelligence for different political parties such as Congress, BJP, BSP, SP, Shiv Sena, Telugu Desam, NCP, and Trinamool Congress.

Political Career[edit | edit source]

2019 general elections, Chaturvedi fought from the South Lok Sabha constituency of Delhi but lost the election. With his increasing popularity along with his efforts toward investigative journalism, he was appointed as the state president of the Janata Party in Uttar Pradesh on September 19 , 2021. Chaturvedi was appointed the interim National President of the Janata Party on November 28, 2021.

Leadership and Initiatives[edit | edit source]

Under the Chaturvedi’s leadership, the Janata Party has noted a massive increase in membership across the country and further gained nationwide presence. With its augmented strength , the party is preparing for the Assembly Elections in Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Telangana, and Chhattisgarh , besides being involved in the 2024 Lok Sabha Elections

9 May 2023 Chaturvedi organized a youth festival in the Dibbang Valley of Arunachal Pradesh, showing his interest in youth development and helping people who were affected by the River Dibbang. Besides, he launched a youth employment campaign in Arunachal Pradesh.
