Muhammed Afolayan professionally known as Moblaqboi[1] (born 07 July 2007) is a Nigerian rapper, singer, songwriter. Known for his mixed patterns music style, he came to limelight after he released his second single idme in May 2024.
Early Life
Muhammed Afolayan, professionally known as Moblaqboi, was born on July 7, 2007, in Nasarawa State, Nigeria. He grew up in a family of seven in Mararaba, a town within the Karu Local Government Area of Nasarawa State, he hails from Osun State. His upbringing in a large family has influenced his artistic expression and connection to his community.[2]
Career
Moblaqboi’s journey into music began at a young age. Although he started gaining attention in 2016, it was not until 2019 that he actively pursued a career in music. He showcased his talent by posting impressive freestyles and covers of popular songs on social media platforms, which helped him build a following and gain recognition among fans of hip-hop and rap.
Moblaqboi is recognized for his unique music style that blends different patterns. He draws inspiration from various genres such as Hip-hop, rap, and Afro beats. Influenced by artists like Olamide, Dax, Asake, and Davido,[3] he aspires to join YBNL NATION owned by his mentor Olamide.[4]
