Mike Rich (marketing executive)

Mike Rich is a South African marketing executive based in Dubai.[1] He has been a senior executive within the loyalty and logistics sectors, having served as Group Chief Marketing Officer for Aramex and Global Marketing Director at The Entertainer.[1]

In 2025, he founded RICH, a Dubai-based marketing agency with in-house marketing teams and strategy-focused services for local and global clients.[2]

Early life and education

Rich attended Computer Career Training College (CCTC) in South Africa.[3] He enrolled for the International Marketing Management (IMM) course but did not complete the final year, opting instead to join the professional world.[3]

Career

Rich began his career in 2004 at Brandhouse, a joint venture between Heineken and Diageo and Namibian Breweries, where he managed a portfolio of over 50 brands including Smirnoff, Heineken and Johnnie Walker.[4] In 2008, he opened two South African restaurants, Buena Vista and Casa del Sol, both of which operated for more than a decade. He also made investments in LittleBig Productions, a production company based in South Africa, Dubai and the Netherlands.[5]

In 2016, Rich relocated to Dubai and took up the role of Global Marketing Director at The Entertainer, a technology and loyalty company.[6] During his tenure, the company forayed into digitization and partnerships with Mastercard, Visa and HSBC.[6]

Rich was appointed in 2020 to Aramex as Global Marketing Director and was later promoted to Group Chief Marketing Officer.[7] While working at Aramex, he started and worked on some notable high-profile marketing and communications campaigns including The Undelivered[8], Share the Light[9], AI-based awareness campaigns[10], a website language shift launching female-gendered Arabic[11], and live-tracking of last-mile deliveries in the UAE.[12]

In 2025, Mike founded RICH, a Dubai-based marketing agency with in-house marketing teams and strategy-focused services for local and global clients.[2]
