Josip Heit (born 1977) is a Croatian entrepreneur, businessman, and fintech strategist known for his involvement in blockchain innovation, digital asset ecosystems, and financial technology ventures. He is the founder of GSB Gold Standard Corporation AG and serves as Senior Strategic Advisor to Apertum Holding Ltd., a blockchain infrastructure company focused on Layer-1 decentralized technologies.[1]
Early life and education
Heit was born in 1977 in Split, Croatia. He later relocated to Germany, where he studied economics and developed his early business interests.
He began his professional career in international trade, including the import and sale of luxury vehicles and yachts. He later expanded into real estate, precious metals, and commodity-based ventures.[2]
Heit is reported to speak several languages, including Croatian, German, English, Italian, Russian, Romanian, and French.
Career
GSB Group
In 2013, Heit founded GSB Gold Standard Corporation AG, a business group focused on financial technology, digital assets, and commodity-backed projects.
The group later introduced GSPartners, a digital asset platform offering blockchain-based financial products.[3]
In 2020, Heit launched GSB Gold Standard Bank Ltd, a project centered on decentralized technologies, digital payment systems, and blockchain infrastructure.
G999 blockchain
In 2021, Heit introduced the G999 blockchain, a digital infrastructure platform designed for payments and decentralized financial applications.
The project gained international attention through launch events in Dubai, including promotional displays on the Burj Khalifa.[4]
Lydian.World
Heit was involved in the development of Lydian.World, a metaverse platform integrating blockchain-based virtual environments.
The platform was presented at the Dubai Opera in 2022 during an international event attended by public figures including Roberto Carlos and David Trezeguet.[5]
Professional boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr. later appeared as a brand ambassador during promotional campaigns.
Apertum
Heit currently serves as Senior Strategic Advisor to Apertum Holding Ltd., a Layer-1 blockchain organization operating within the Avalanche ecosystem.[6]
Apertum is fully EVM-compatible and supports decentralized applications, DeFi protocols, and smart contract deployment.
Its native token, APTM, has been integrated into multiple cryptocurrency exchanges and payment networks.[7]
In 2025, Apertum received the Best Layer-1 Blockchain award at the Crypto.News Awards.[8]
