Joachim Froment (born 8 June 1993) is a Belgian industrial designer and artist known for his innovative approach to sustainable product design. Based in Brussels and Copenhagen, he has collaborated with renowned brands including HAY, Danfoss, and Duvel. Froment is the co-founder and creative director of Futurewave, a design and technology studio focused on developing forward-thinking, intuitive products.

Early life and education

Joachim Froment was born in Brussels, Belgium. He studied Industrial Design and Fine Art at La Cambre ENSAV in Brussels, followed by a Master’s degree in Design Products from the Royal College of Art in London.

Career

Froment began his career exploring the intersection between sustainability and technology, with a particular focus on recycled materials and additive manufacturing. In 2020, he co-founded Futurewave, a multidisciplinary studio that combines design, technology, and storytelling to create innovative products and experiences.

His designs often incorporate circular economy principles and aim to make complex technologies approachable and human-centered. Froment has worked with global brands such as HAY, Danfoss, and Duvel on a variety of projects ranging from furniture to lighting and product design.
