Jajabor Rasel (born Sazzadur Rahman; 27 August 1990) is a Bangladeshi singer, songwriter, music producer, and media professional. He is known for his work in Bengali folk and contemporary music, as well as his contributions to radio and television broadcasting. He is also recognized as a Voice and Communication Coach. His notable music direction credits include Palokghor, released under G Series' Agnibina banner, the Bangladesh Liberation War–based computer game Liberation 71, Indian GIMA Award–nominated singer Samarjit Roy's Ek Chilte Rod, and Jadu, an album by Channel i Serakantho artist Konal.

Early life and education

Jajabor Rasel was born in Mymensingh, Bangladesh. His father, Mohammad Hafizur Rahman, is a freedom fighter and cultural organiser.

He completed his early education at Patgudam Primary School and Mymensingh D.S. Alia Madrasa. Later, he earned a Bachelor of Music degree from the University of Development Alternative (UODA), specializing in Bengali folk music.

Career

Jajabor Rasel began his professional career in 2010 as a presenter at Radio Circle, one of Bangladesh's early internet radio stations. He later served as the station's Head of Program and Head of Operations.

During this period, he hosted approximately sixty episodes of The Traffic Signal, a weekly television programme broadcast on Channel i.

In 2015, he joined 96.4 Spice FM as a Sound and Creative Producer. He also hosted the music programme Spice Gaan Lounge. He currently serves as Senior Music Producer at Ekhon TV and Senior Creative Producer at Spice FM.

As a Radio Production Head and Audio Content Director, he has produced more than 1,000 audio and multimedia projects.

Music

Jajabor Rasel began his musical journey with the folk-fusion band Jajabor before establishing himself as a solo artist.

His first television performance was broadcast on NTV's Amaro Gaite Ichchhe Holo in 2010.

He is also involved in collecting, rearranging and presenting traditional Bengali folk songs for contemporary audiences.
