Jack Radics, born Balfour Bailey on December 31, 1957, in Kingston, Jamaica, is a celebrated Jamaican singer and songwriter. He initially began his musical career in New York in the mid-1970s, where he worked for the Sound System New World. Radics’ early exposure to the music scene and various genres set the stage for his future success.

Radics’ first notable recording was his version of Kool & The Gang's *Get Down On It*, which showcased his early potential as an artist. In the early 1980s, he moved to London, where he began to build his solo career. There, he recorded his first solo single, *Walk on By*, in 1985 under the name Jack Radics. The Jamaican artist’s sound blended reggae with Motown, Stax soul, and pop influences.

His 1994 album *Open Rebuke* was celebrated as one of the best reggae albums of the year by *Black Music* magazine Echoes.

He also collaborated with German producer Rüdiger Nieschmidt, which led to the 1999 album *Love & Laughter*, and the hit single *No Matter*, which resonated not only in German-speaking countries but also became a hit in South Africa.

In 2001, Radics worked with producers Grant Michael B. and Pomez di Lorenzo to release his album *Always Around*, which included new songs reflecting his evolving style.

Over the years, Radics collaborated with renowned artists such as Sly & Robbie, Freddie McGregor, Ali Campbell, Mr. President, and Big Youth, further expanding his musical repertoire.
