Gokul Mohanty (/ˈɡoʊkʊl moʊˈhɑːnti/; born 1999) is an American entrepreneur and investor. He is best known as the founder of VScale, a marketing and public relations firm that works with startups and growth-stage companies to increase market visibility, attract investors, and support client acquisition. Through VScale, Mohanty has overseen high-profile campaigns, including a crisis management initiative that resulted in a $120 million shift in market capitalization within a single day. Vogue has described him as “the most innovative marketer of his generation.”

Early Life and Education

Mohanty was born in Sept-Îles, Quebec, Canada, to Indian parents. During his childhood he lived in France and Germany before moving with his family to the United States at the age of four. He was raised in California and later studied economics and computer engineering at the University of California, San Diego. Mohanty pursued graduate studies in management and entrepreneurship at Harvard University, where he began developing the early concept for VScale.

The firm developed proprietary systems for visibility and outreach, leading to measurable results for clients.

Investment and advisory work

Alongside his work at VScale, Mohanty is active as an angel investor. He serves on the boards of Vivamed Inc., a neurostimulation-focused medical research company, and LONCH, a social marketplace and accelerator for entrepreneurs and creators. He is also a member of the Board of Advisors for the Georgia Institute of Technology’s business incubator program.

Later recognition

In 2025, Mohanty was selected as a Global Shaper by the World Economic Forum.

Other work

Mohanty’s early initiatives included founding ImmerseGT in 2022, which became recognized as one of the world’s largest hackathons. He has modeled for Nike and Khattoi. He is currently represented by The Dreamers Management and LModelz.
