Fritz Jeffry Briones
Fritz Jeffry Briones (born December 20, 1987) is a Filipino banker, author, researcher, and social media influencer.[1] He is the branch head of a branch of BDO Unibank. Briones is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in management at Northwest Samar State University, focusing on customer behavior and management strategies.[2]
Early Life and education[edit | edit source]
Briones was born and raised in Calbayog City, Philippines, where he attended Calbayog Pilot Central School. He completed his high school education at Christ the King College. In 2004, Briones enrolled at the University of San Carlos, graduating with a bachelor’s degree in management accounting in 2008. He also obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Northwest Samar State University in 2013.
Briones has also completed various online certification courses in leadership principles, digital marketing, organizational behavior, and Python programming from institutions such as the Harvard Business School, Stanford University, the University of Pennsylvania, Dartmouth College, The Wharton School, HEC Paris, Yale University, Duke University, and Copenhagen Business School.
Briones is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in management at Northwest Samar State University, focusing on customer behavior and management strategies within the banking sector.
Career[edit | edit source]
Briones has over 15 years of experience working as a branch head for renowned universal banks in the Philippines.[3] He began his career as a customer service representative teller at Metrobank in 2008. In 2014, he was appointed as a branch operations officer and a branch head in 2017.[4]
In 2021, Briones joined BDO Unibank, where he serves as a branch head and has gained extensive experience in customer interactions and financial services. He has published various research studies on customer behavior and management strategies. The Ignatian International Journal for Multidisciplinary Research published his research, "Customer Profile and the Analysis of Loan Products and Services Offered by Universal Banks in Calbayog City, Samar."[5]
Briones is also the author of "The Art of Influence: The Fritz Jeffry Briones Story," where he shares his personal life story and insights on financial literacy, leadership, and personal development.[6][7]
Briones is widely recognized as "the Weird Influencer," in the online community. His content focuses on financial literacy and personal growth and is engaging. He is known for discussing complex topics in simple terms, without technical jargon. His dynamic online presence and academic research represent a unique approach and have established him as a sought-after leader in the field. Briones has amassed over 50K followers across various social media platforms, including 10.7K followers on Instagram, 1.13K subscribes on YouTube, 21K on Facebook, 845 on Twitter, and 10.9K on TikTok.[8]

Briones actively participates in a number of charitable causes and community projects, such as SOS Children's Village, the Missionaries of Charity, and Shriners Hospital for Children.[9]

Briones received the Knight of Rizal Award in March 2022 for his societal contributions and recommendation of 2 active knight of Rizal members to join the order.[10]
Personal life[edit | edit source]
Briones resides in Calbayog City, Philippines. He is an avid speedcuber and has achieved 7th place at the Philippine Open 2007 speed cubing competition. He is also one of the founding member of the Philippine Cubers Association (PCA), an organization that promotes competitive cubing and governs Rubik's Cube competitions in the Philippines.
