'Ratikant Kamila[1][2][3][4] (born April 16, 1991) is an Indian film and television actor[5][6] known for his work in the Hindi and Bhojpuri film industries. He has appeared in various television shows, films, short films, and web series throughout his career.[7][8]

Ratikant Kamila was born on April 16, 1991, in Baliapal,[9] a small town in the Balesore[10] district of Odisha,[11] India. He was born into a Hindu family and is the youngest of six siblings. He completed his primary education at Savitri High School in Katisahi. Afterward, he pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree from Subarana Rekha (S.R) Muhabidyalaya in Baliapal[12]. In search of job opportunities, he moved to Bangalore, where he developed a keen interest in acting after watching a play. This led him to secure admission at the National Academy of Cinema[13][14] and Television (NACT)[15] in Bangalore, where he studied acting and filmmaking.[16][17][18]

Ratikant Kamila's artistic inclinations began in his childhood, where he engaged in sculpture and drawing. Despite initially desiring a career in fine arts, financial constraints prevented him from pursuing formal training in the field. After completing his intermediate education, he relocated to Bangalore and started working at a call center. It was during this time that he discovered NACT and decided to enroll in their three-year acting and filmmaking course. In 2014, he moved to Mumbai to pursue acting opportunities.[19]

Ratikant Kamila made his debut in the television industry with the show "Aisa Prem Kahaan," where he portrayed the role of Totula Bangali. The show aired on Doordarshan's DD National (DD1) and ran for 425 episodes. He has since appeared in various television shows in episodic and supporting roles, including "Suhani Si Ek Ladki," "Qayamat Ki Raat," "Nimki Mukhiya," and "Akbar Birbal," among others.

In the film industry, Ratikant Kamila has acted in notable movies such as "Sarkar 3" (2017) directed by Ram Gopal Varma" Mission Raniganj" (2023) and "Mumbai Saga" (2020)[20] directed by Sanjay Gupta. He has also worked in Bhojpuri cinema, appearing in films like "Tuhi To Meri Jaan Hai Radha 2" (2017) directed by Shammi Tiwari.

Apart from television and films, Ratikant Kamila has ventured into short films and web series. He owns a YouTube channel called "BR International Film Production," where he uploads his short films and shares his life experiences.[21]
