David Bermudez
David Brian Bermudez (born July 12, 2002), known professionally as DX, is an American record producer, executive producer, and creative director. He is known for developing a dark, experimental subgenre of trap music and for founding the creative label and brand Top One. His work bridges underground production and independent label development.
Early career
Born in Miami, Florida, DX moved to Pembroke Pines in Broward County during his teenage years, where he began producing music at age 14 using FL Studio. Initially inspired by EDM artists like David Guetta and Martin Garrix, he later gravitated toward trap production, citing Southside, TM88, and London on da Track as key influences.
In 2019, DX landed early placements with signees from Young Thug’s YSL Records, including Strick, Lil Duke, and T-Shyne. Around that time, he also briefly connected with producer Southside to produce beats for the anticipated Free Agent 4 project. Throughout the early 2020s, he focused on building music collectives and artist infrastructure, often working behind the scenes rather than releasing music under his own name.
Setbacks and transition
Following a series of internal disputes and the unraveling of earlier partnerships, DX restructured his business efforts and began building a more focused creative identity. This led to the formation of Top One, a brand that reflects his vision as both a producer and executive.
In 2025, DX began releasing music as a solo artist for the first time, transitioning from his role behind the scenes to a front-facing figure in the industry.
Current projects
DX currently operates through Top One and other undisclosed creative ventures. His work spans music production, executive collaborations, and the quiet development of brands not yet revealed to the public.
Recognition
Though largely independent and under the radar, DX has earned respect in underground music circles for his distinct production style, branding instincts, and long-term approach to building creative infrastructure.
