Early Life

DITZ, an English rock band, formed in 2016 in Brighton. The band originally consisted of Cal Francis (vocals) and Caleb Remnant (bass), both of whom had grown up together in Gloucestershire. They had previously tried to form bands without much success before relocating to Brighton, where they connected with other musicians in the local music scene. Anton Mocock joined the band shortly after its formation, followed by drummer Jack Looker, and Sam Evans, who completed the lineup in early 2019.

Career

DITZ released their first EP, *EP1*, in 2016, before following up with *5 Songs* in 2020, which compiled singles released over the previous years. Around this time, they signed to Alcopop! Records. Their debut studio album, *The Great Regression*, was released in 2022 and received critical acclaim for its dynamic post-punk and indie rock sound. In 2023, the band released a live album, *On the Bai'ou - Live From the Louisiana*, capturing their energetic performances.

Known for their raw and intense sound, DITZ has been compared to bands such as IDLES, Yak, Daughters, and Gilla Band, resonating with fans of aggressive yet thoughtful rock music.
