History

The college was established in 1948 through the initiative of local dignitaries. It traces its origins to 1939, during the Second World War, when British forces temporarily relocated Feni College to Brahmanbaria. After the war, the Feni College moved back, and in 1948, Brahmanbaria College was founded, initially as a private institution. In 1979, the college was nationalized. Initially offering higher secondary and bachelor's pass courses, the college gradually introduced honors programs in Mathematics and Political Science in 1993-94. Currently, the institution offers more than a dozen honors and master's courses.
