BooksRun
BooksRun is an online bookselling platform headquartered in New York, New York. The company buys books from customers, sells used and new books, offers textbook rentals, and also serves as a fulfillment provider for some major bookstores.[1][2] BooksRun focuses on reuse and wise resource management, suggesting the recirculation of unneeded books by reselling, positioning themselves as a reuse retailer and outlet.[3][4][5]
History
BooksRun was founded in 2014 by Kiryl Zarubau. The company initially focused on affordable textbooks for students and graduates.[6][7] The BooksRun website offered a range of used textbooks for sale and rent as well as free shipping.[8][9] In 2016, the company also opened a small store near Brooklyn College to serve the student community in New York.[10][11]
Over the years, BooksRun has grown and expanded its book inventory to both trade books and textbooks and transformed from an ambitious startup to a company that operates hundreds of thousands of titles daily.[12][13]
BooksRun also launched its own book marketplace services in 2020, offering independent booksellers an opportunity to list and sell books through the BooksRun website.[14]
