Alan Grinstein is an Argentine actor known for his diverse work across theater, television, and film. Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, Grinstein discovered his passion for acting during his formative years in Mar del Plata. He was raised in a bilingual environment and received his early education at Holy Trinity College, where he actively participated in school theater productions.

Early Life and Education

Grinstein pursued higher education in the United States, attending Washington and Lee University in Virginia. He graduated in 2017 with a degree in Business Administration and a minor in Theater. During his time at WLU, he took on a variety of roles in campus productions, notably portraying Cooper in Really Really. He also contributed behind the scenes as a Production Designer, Sound Designer, and Backstage Manager for plays such as The Night of the Iguana, Legally Blonde, and Dracula by Steven Dietz.

Career

After returning to Argentina, Grinstein began working in the commercial advertising sector, appearing in campaigns for brands including Baum, Malaria, Bruto and Lucciano’s, PedidosYa, and McDonald's.

In 2019, he joined Juan Rodó’s musical theater academy in Buenos Aires, where he received advanced training in performance. During this period, he starred in several acclaimed stage productions:

  • Dracula as Dracula
  • Nine as Guido
  • Miss Saigon as Chris
  • Little Shop of Horrors as Orin
  • 42nd Street as Mr. Marsh

Grinstein also performed at the Colón Theater in Mar del Plata, taking on the role of El Visitante in a notable summer production.

Film and Television

Grinstein's screen career includes roles in television series such as Espartanos and Robo Mundial. He also appeared in feature films including:

  • Jaque Mate (directed by Adrián Suar) for Prime Video
  • Bloody Mary (directed by Maggie Bravi)

In 2022, he starred in the short film Horizontes, directed by Berenice Zapiola, and portrayed a British soldier during the Falklands War in Las Cosas Que Extraño, directed by Julián Bedino and Julián Avella.

Recent Work

In October 2023, Grinstein appeared in the Buenos Aires theater production Yo No Quiero Morir en Recoleta, directed by Esteban Lamarque, portraying the character Joaquín.
