Advocate Anik
A M Iktear Uddin, widely known as Advocate Anik, born in 1984, is a distinguished Indian advocate and co-founder of Prime Legal. He is a partner at various notable law firms, including Vidhikarya and OLQ Online Legal Experts. Renowned for handling high-profile legal cases and for his advisory role across multiple industries, Advocate Anik serves as a Special Public Prosecutor for the state of Karnataka. His accomplishments include winning over ₹1 million in compensation in a major consumer dispute and offering counsel in Enforcement Directorate investigations involving cases up to ₹2500 crores.[1]
Personal Life and Education
Advocate Anik was born in Jalpaiguri district, West Bengal. His mother, Nanda (later known as Shanaz Parvin alias Anwara after converting to Islam), passed away in 1986. His father, Abdul Jalil, also passed away soon after. Raised amidst both Hindu and Muslim traditions, Anik developed a deep respect for diverse cultures.[2]
In 1999, Anik moved to Bangalore. He completed his 10th grade in 2001 and PUC in 2003. He graduated with a 5-year LL.B from Bangalore University in 2008 and later completed an LL.M in Business Law - Corporate Law from University Law College, Bangalore University, achieving First Class with 2nd rank in 2010.
In 2014, he married his LLB classmate, Ayantika Mondal, a Catholic Christian and distinguished legal professional. Together, they co-founded Prime Legal.
Career
Anik started his legal journey in 2006 at a law firm in Malleswaram. He co-founded Legal Troubleshooting, focusing on property title verifications and data protection laws. He also taught part-time at the School of Business.
In 2010, he joined Deshraj and PC Reddy Chambers. In 2012, he transitioned to Dell India Pvt Ltd as a Legal Associate. He co-founded Prime Legal in 2009 with Ayantika Mondal.
From 2015 to 2019, Anik served as Associate Director at ANI Technologies Pvt Ltd (Ola Cabs), managing legal affairs across Ola and associated firms. In 2019, he rejoined Prime Legal and expanded partnerships with national law firms.
Anik is a consultant to over 50 startups in manpower, IT, transportation, fintech, and more. He handles law enforcement issues before the ED, CBI, CCB, and other agencies. He is known for managing legal matters for major cryptocurrency exchanges and has contributed to resolving cross-border trafficking cases with NGOs like Taalsah.
