Early Life
Yvette Essakhar grew up in California in a family that valued education, perseverance, and community service. From a young age, she displayed a natural curiosity and a strong sense of justice, often drawn to roles where she could advocate for fairness and help others. Excelling in academics while also taking on leadership and volunteer roles, she developed the empathy, determination, and resilience that continue to shape her work as an attorney today.
Education
Yvette is a proud double graduate of the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). She earned her Bachelor of Arts, Magna Cum Laude, before continuing on to receive her Juris Doctor (J.D.) from UCLA School of Law. Her academic achievements and leadership experiences laid the foundation for her career in complex litigation and personal injury law.
Career
Yvette began her legal career at The Kaufman Law Group, where she worked on complex civil litigation, business and real estate disputes, and white-collar criminal defense. She gained extensive courtroom and pre-trial experience, representing clients in both state and federal courts.
Her career also included international work with a prestigious anti-terrorism law firm in Tel Aviv, Israel, where she broadened her perspective on global legal issues.
Before co-founding Hillstone Law Accident and Injury Attorneys, Yvette represented insurance companies on the defense side of personal injury cases. This unique background gives her insider knowledge of the tactics insurers use — insight she now leverages to fiercely advocate for victims.
At Hillstone Law, Yvette has built a reputation as a relentless and innovative trial lawyer. She has secured seven-figure results, including cases that other firms turned away. Known for treating clients like family, she prioritizes transparency, clear communication, and tireless advocacy.
