Early life[edit | edit source]
Yasharahla Yahawah was born on January 6, 1995 in Lagos, Nigeria. Yasharahla Yahawah is a dynamic and influential public figure whose remarkable journey is characterized by resilience, activism, and a pursuit of justice. Her life story spans continents, cultures, and causes, making her a beacon of inspiration to many. Yasha’s early life in Nigeria laid the foundation for her strong sense of identity. Growing up, she lived a very privileged and sheltered life, and was totally unaware of the plight of the average Nigerian. As a child seeing other children selling items on the streets on her way to school, she once asked her caretaker how those kids go to London to shop for their clothes. This was because she believed clothes shopping could only be done in London, as that was where all her clothes where purchased during her school summer breaks. This mindset of innocently believing everyone had a great life followed into her teen years.

Career life[edit | edit source]
At the age of 18, Yasha moved to the United States of America to attend University. Up until that point, she had only visited the country in a sheltered manner, and only went places with tour guides. Living in a small college community in the Fargo/Moorhead area on the Minnesota and North Dakota border was quiet and peaceful, but she stopped attending University after just one semester. This was because she felt a university education was fraudulent: her international business classes were mostly Skype calls with another business class in China, asking each other about the weather. Furthermore, she wondered why her Economics professor was making such questionable income despite his degrees, and the plethora of knowledge he had about money. Thus, after the first semester, Yasha left University for good. She moved to Manhattan, New York, and for the first time in her life she saw racial disparities, which bothered her. Nearly everyone she came across who was seemingly successful was Caucasian, and nearly every person of African descent were doormen and janitors. She decided to get as close as possible to her people and learn as much as possible about why that was. The more she ventured into the racial rabbit hole, the more sure she was that social justice is what she is on earth to achieve. Yasha became deeply involved in social justice movements. She took to the streets of New York and other cities, joining protests and riots on several occasions. Advocating for racial justice had now become embedded in her. About a month before turning 22, Yasha returned to sub-Saharan Africa with a mission to understand the continent’s complexities firsthand. Her travels took her to various African nations, where she engaged with local communities, listened to their stories, and gained a deeper understanding of the socio-political dynamics at play. This period of exploration was transformative for Yasha. It reinforced her belief in the potential of Africa and the need for sustainable development and political stability. At 25 Yasha’s research was complete, and she concluded that her people’s pre-colonial shackles must first be loosened, after which she will finish the job. She made another significant move, this time to Dubai. Drawn by the luxurious lifestyle the city offers, she saw Dubai as a new chapter in her life where she could interact more with people who have grown to love her outside of activism. In Dubai, Yasha has established herself as a prominent public figure. Her dynamic personality, along with her visual aesthetics has gotten her a loyal and ever-growing fanbase known as Yasha Nation. She continues to be involved in various humanitarian causes in sub-Saharan Africa from a distance, and ensures the beneficiaries are well-supported.
