Vedaprabhu Basavarajappa has made significant contributions to the field of telecommunications through his extensive academic and professional journey.

Early Life & Education

He completed his PhD at the University of Cantabria, Spain, in 2018. Prior to that, he earned his MS in Electrical Engineering, specializing in Telecommunications, from TU Delft in the Netherlands in 2012. He began his academic journey with a Bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Communication from Visvesvaraya Technological University in India.

Career

His career in antenna design commenced in 2008 when he joined the Microwave Laboratory as a Project Assistant at the Indian Institute of Science in Bangalore. During his Master’s program, he served as a Research Assistant at the Antenna and Electromagnetic Modelling group at Fraunhofer FHR in Bonn, Germany. He subsequently worked as an Antenna Engineer at Power wave Technologies and held a Marie Curie Fellowship at Queen’s University Belfast and Bell Labs in Ireland. He continued to build his expertise as an Antenna Engineer at TTI Norte in Spain and contributed to the H2020 Marie Curie 5Gwireless ITN. Following his PhD, he was a Postdoctoral Researcher at Queen Mary University of London and later became a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the 5G Innovation Center at the University of Surrey in the UK. He currently holds the position of Senior RF Antenna Engineer at All Space and is a Senior Member of IEEE.
