Born in 1980 in Hai Phong, Vietnam, Tran Thanh Phuong grew up in a humble family. From a young age, he showed an entrepreneurial spirit by starting a small business renting out books at a sidewalk stall when he was just 12 years old. In addition to his first venture, he worked various part-time jobs, gaining early exposure to business and hard work. These experiences fueled his desire to pursue a career in business.

After graduating from university, Phuong started his career in 2002 at PTSC M&C, a subsidiary of Petro Vietnam Group, where he worked as a commercial executive. This role gave him valuable experience in international trade and project management. Between 2006 and 2014, Phuong transitioned to sales management roles at multinational companies like Coca-Cola, Carlsberg, Diageo, and Heineken.
