This template is part of a series meta templates that can be used to create information boxes summarising facts about the subject of the article. It should not be used directly in articles.

This template inserts an image in a box table: it must be used between {{Meta box/Header}} and {{Meta box/Footer}}. It is also possible to display two images side-by-side, with a common caption.

Parameters:

image
The name of the image (without "Image:" or "File:" prefix).
image2
The name of a second image.
border
Set this parameter to no so that there is no border around the image. Default: there is a border.
border2
Same as "border" for the second image.
upright
Use this parameter to adjust the size of the (first) image proportionally to user preferences. Default: 1 (if one image is displayed) or 0.5 (when two images are provided). These values should be overridden only seldom. If you feel that many images are too small for you, go into your Special:Preferences and adjust the default size of thumbnail images!
upright2
Same as "upright" for the second image.
altText
An alternate text, to be read aloud or displayed instead of the image (e.g. when "looking" at the page with a screen reader). This text should briefly describe the image (how many people and what they are doing, what kind of landscape, how a flag looks like...). It should not contain any links or formatting.
altText2
Same as "altText" for the second image.
caption
The text that will be displayed under the image(s). There is only one caption, even if two images are provided. This text should tell what the image(s) shows (e.g. the name of those people or of the event they attend, the place of that landscape, "Flag of such-and-such country"...) or how it shows it (e.g. the legend of colours used on a chart). It may include links and some formatting.
