Tayler Scharg

Tayler Scharg (born July 1, 1992) is an American entrepreneur, hospitality leader, and music catalog adviser based in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. He is the founder and CEO of TS Hospitality and co-creator of 27 Bar & Lounge, a venue that helped shape South Florida’s modern nightlife scene. Tayler is also active in the music industry, where he works with artists to manage and prepare their music catalogs for sale.

Early Life and Education

Tayler Scharg was born in Fort Lauderdale and spent his early years living between Florida and California. He later returned to Florida to finish high school before enrolling at Full Sail University in Orlando. He developed a strong interest in music at a young age, often playing guitar and other instruments, which played a major role in guiding his creative ambitions.

Career

Starting in Hospitality

While attending college, Tayler worked as a bartender and discovered his passion for the nightlife industry. He enjoyed organizing live performances and creating spaces where local musicians could connect with new audiences. This early experience introduced him to event curation and helped him understand how to bring people together through music.

Launching 27 Bar & Lounge

In 2014, Tayler purchased a warehouse property in Fort Lauderdale’s FAT Village. At the time, the area was still undeveloped and presented many regulatory hurdles. Tayler envisioned transforming it into an entertainment and arts district. After years of effort and negotiations, the location became the first venue in the neighborhood to receive a hard liquor license.

In 2017, Tayler partnered with longtime friend Cory Blank to launch 27 Bar & Lounge. The venue was inspired by the "27 Club," paying tribute to artists like Amy Winehouse, Jim Morrison, and Kurt Cobain. 27 Bar became known for its strong visual identity, curated music programming, and community-focused events. The venue helped spark cultural momentum in what is now Flagler Village.

Opening Additional Venues

Following the success of 27 Bar, Tayler expanded with two additional nightlife destinations, The Good Times Only Speakeasy and Rose Nightclub. These concepts offered unique atmospheres that blended immersive design with tailored guest experiences. From prohibition-style interiors to high-energy nightclub settings, Tayler continued to push creative boundaries while staying grounded in hospitality values.

TS Hospitality

To manage his expanding portfolio, Tayler established TS Hospitality, a Miami-based group specializing in entertainment, nightlife, and event production. The company works across industries including music, fashion, and live events, with a reputation for creating experiences that are both memorable and emotionally engaging.

Role in Music Catalog Advisory

Alongside his hospitality ventures, Tayler also serves as a catalog adviser for music professionals. He collaborates with legacy artists, rights holders, and estates to help evaluate, prepare, and present music catalogs to potential buyers. His responsibilities include organizing royalty histories, licensing records, ownership splits, and more. He plays an important role in shaping catalog valuations and communicating the artistic legacy of each client. Tayler supports artists throughout the process and ensures they feel confident and informed every step of the way.

Personal Life

Tayler Scharg is 32 years old and biracial. In addition to his career, he previously trained in mixed martial arts and participated in one professional fight. He is a proud father and has a strong love for animals, sharing his home with three French bulldogs and a cat.
