Security Compass was founded in 2004 by security professionals.[2] The company is headquartered in Toronto, Ontario, Canada with offices in the US.[2]
In 2020, Security Compass had a private equity funding round which led to further expansion of its services.[3]
In 2021, Security Compass established partnership with International Society of Automation to further the adoption of security standards for Industrial Automation and Control Systems.[4] In February 2024, Security Compass acquired Kontra, an application security training platform built for modern development teams.[5]
In March 2024, Security Compass established integration partnership with Checkmarx, a cloud-native application security company with the view of enhancing service delivery.[6]
