Ritchie Newton
Early Life
Ritchie Newton was born on December 7, 1964, in Straubing, Lower Bavaria, Germany. Growing up, Newton’s musical exposure began early, influenced by his grandfather, a professional musician. His early passion for music led him to pick up drums in 1974 and start singing in 1976. Despite pursuing various jobs in his early life, such as working as a cook, assembly line worker, and scaffolder, his heart was always in music, leading him to form several bands and start his career in music.
Career
Ritchie Newton’s career is marked by diversity and resilience. He gained prominence in the 1980s and 1990s with bands such as MASS, Pussy Lover, and Hellfire. His album *Süchtig* (1996) and his experience as an Elvis Tribute Artist helped solidify his status in the music world.
Newton’s career extended into the fashion world as well, as he transitioned into being a well-known figure in the rock and metal scene. His versatility as an entertainer also saw him branching out into acting and voice work.
In recent years, Newton has continued to thrive. He released his EP *Moments* in collaboration with guitarist and producer Oliver Zangl through NRT-Records. Looking ahead, he signed with NRT-Records for his upcoming album *Higher Power*, which is set to release in late 2024. He is also preparing for an extensive tour in 2025.
