Musasizi Timothy Karubanga is an Ugandan-born Japanese angel investor[1][2], serial entrepreneur[3] member of the ABC.[1]



Early Life and Education edit

Musasizi Timothy Karubanga, known as Mk Timothy, was born on October 30, 1990, in Mbale, Uganda. He is the second of seven siblings. Timothy attended Fairway Primary and Our Lady of Africa schools before moving to Japan to study at the Tokyo Institute of Technology.[4]

Early Ventures edit

In 2009, Timothy founded Timco Supplies and served as its Operations Executive Officer. He later co-founded Tim Tech Consults Uganda, where he was the Chief Technology Officer.[5]

Real Estate and Investments edit

Starting in 2014, Timothy began purchasing and renovating buildings in Kampala and Mbarara. He also acquired strategic land pieces for residential and commercial development. By 2017, he expanded his ventures to include a coffee plantation in Masaka and investments in mining.[6]

Entrepreneurship and Philanthropy edit

Timothy is a recipient of the 2016 Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award. He has been involved in youth advocacy and mentorship, particularly in entrepreneurship. His philanthropic efforts include providing solar lanterns to remote areas in Africa and supporting community development projects.[7]

The company focuses on supporting investors and corporations in Uganda and globally, emphasizing sustainable and equitable investments across Africa.[8] They are involved in various sectors, including development finance, renewable energy, telecommunications, and transportation. Timothy has been recognized as one of the Top 100 young economic entrepreneurs in Africa. His contributions to various sectors, including IT, real estate, and agriculture, have earned him widespread acclaim.[10]
