Matthew Bertram (born August 10, 1982) is an American digital marketing strategist, Fractional Chief Marketing Officer (CMO), author, and podcast host. He specializes in SEO, entity SEO, AI visibility, and revenue operations (RevOps).[1] He is Lead Digital Strategist at EWR Digital and serves as CMO for Oil & Gas Global Network (OGGN). He hosts and co‑hosts podcasts in digital marketing and has written books and articles on SEO and AI marketing topics.[2]


Early life and education

Bertram earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing from the Mays Business School at Texas A&M University in 2006.

Career

EWR Digital and AI SEO work

Since 2018, Bertram has held a senior strategic role at EWR Digital, a Houston-based digital marketing agency, acting as Lead Digital Strategist and fractional marketing executive with an emphasis on AI‑enabled search strategy. In September 2025, EWR Digital announced the launch of a Generative AI SEO service centered on a trademarked LLM Visibility™ framework created by Bertram, combining traditional SEO, AI SEO, generative engine optimization (GEO), and answer engine optimization (AEO) to improve brand recall in language model–driven search systems.[3]

Oil & Gas Global Network (OGGN)

Bertram is also associated with OGGN (Oil & Gas Global Network), where he holds marketing leadership roles and hosts the Oil & Gas Sales and Marketing Podcast.

Podcasting and media

Bertram is co‑host or host of The Best SEO Podcast (also styled SEO Podcast: Unknown Secrets of Internet Marketing), running since 2009. It addresses SEO, content, AI, and digital marketing topics. He is additionally host of OGGN’s Oil & Gas Sales and Marketing Podcast.
