Madhusudan Halder
Madhusudan Halder (born 4 December 1987) is an Indian interior designer and entrepreneur, best known as the founder and chief executive officer of Ideal Eyes Interior, a Kolkata-based luxury interior design firm. Since its inception in 2010, the company has executed over 430 high-end residential, commercial, hospitality, and retail projects across Eastern India and beyond.[1][2]
Early life and education
Halder was born in Diamond Harbour, West Bengal, and grew up in a poor family. After overcoming numerous challenges, he pursued his passion for design with determination, enrolling in an interior design course.[1] He completed his schooling at Jagadishpur S.K. Institution, Mandir Bazar, before pursuing higher studies at Netaji Subhas Open University. He also earned a Professional Diploma in Interior Design from Habitat Academy.[2]
Career
In 2010, Halder founded Ideal Eyes Interior at Fern Road, Gariahat, Kolkata.[1] Initially focusing on premium residential interiors, the company expanded into commercial and hospitality sectors, completing boutique offices, hotels, resorts, and retail spaces.[3]
Between 2010 and 2014, Halder designed high-end residences and boutique commercial projects in Kolkata. By 2015–2018, the company had expanded operations to Ranchi, Jharkhand, delivering luxury apartments and villas. In 2019, he led turnkey projects for hospitality and retail brands. From 2020 to 2023, Ideal Eyes Interior crossed the milestone of 400 projects, earning a reputation for opulent yet functional design solutions.[4]
As of 2025, the firm has delivered over 430 projects, making it one of Kolkata’s fastest-growing interior design companies.[1]
Design philosophy
Halder’s work blends modern aesthetics with functional layouts, emphasizing personalized and detail-oriented approaches. He often collaborates with real estate developers, architects, and luxury furnishing brands to achieve bespoke solutions for clients.[2]

Halder has received multiple honours for his contribution to the Indian interior design industry, including:
- Recognition at the Icons of Excellence – Trailblazers Redefining Success awards.[5]
- Award for Best Commercial & Residential Interior Design Company from Kolkata.
- International Glory Award 2025, Mumbai.
Personal life
Halder resides in Kolkata and is fluent in English, Hindi, and Bengali.[1]
