Laure Goubau
Laure Goubau is a Canadian executive coach, entrepreneur, and speaker specializing in women’s leadership, workplace wellness, and professional development. She is the founder of Gloria Coach, North America’s first women’s leadership coaching and health advocacy platform, and the creator of the My Imposter Story podcast, which explores imposter syndrome and leadership challenges.
Career
Goubau began her professional career in law, practicing as a litigator at McCarthy Tétrault, where she specialized in class actions and medical malpractice. She later transitioned to professional development and talent management roles within the firm.
She subsequently joined McKinsey & Company as Director of Professional Resources and Professional Development Manager. At McKinsey, she designed maternity leave policies, developed women’s advancement initiatives, and co-facilitated national leadership and equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) programs.
In addition to her corporate roles, Goubau established Gloria Coach, a platform focused on women’s leadership coaching and health advocacy. She also launched the My Imposter Story podcast, featuring conversations about imposter syndrome and leadership growth. As a speaker, she has appeared at leadership panels, women’s health forums, and professional development workshops, and has been featured on platforms such as Websites.ca Talk and FemTech.
Education and Credentials
Goubau holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from McGill University, a Civil Law degree (LL.L) from the University of Ottawa, and a Doctor of Law (J.D.) from the Université de Montréal. She later earned a Graduate Degree in Executive Coaching from Royal Roads University and a Systems Thinking Certificate from Cornell University. She also completed the French Baccalauréat at Lycée Claudel.
She is a member of the Quebec Bar (Barreau du Québec) and the Law Society of Ontario. Goubau is a certified coach with the International Coaching Federation (ICF) and is affiliated with the Institute of Coaching (IOC).
Coaching Philosophy
Goubau integrates leadership development with wellness and resilience, drawing from her certifications as a Level 2 Ski Instructor and Level 1 Ski Coach. Her approach emphasizes holistic success, blending professional growth with health and personal well-being.
