King Rex

King Rex is a fictional character made by Keith's Fantasy Club as a third-party Transformer. He is a homage to the Generation 1 Transformers character Grimlock.
Keith's Fantasy Club[edit | edit source]
King Rex is a homage to the 1985 Dinobot Grimlock.
Other third-party Transformers inspired by Grimlock include Justitoys Commander and FansProject G3 Trailer.
Development[edit | edit source]
In May 2013 Keith's Fantasy Club teased images of microcassettes with the names of species of prehistoric reptiles on them.[1]
In June 2013 a shadowed image of the prototype of King Rex was posted to the Weibo page for Eagle's TF.[2]
Concept art of King Rex and Bladeback was previewed at TFcon 2013's Third Party Panel.[3]
Reception[edit | edit source]
The Good Morning, Cybertron! podcast for July 29th, 2013 discussed the Keith's Fantasy Club Airdancer, Haiku, Evil Ironpaw, Justice Ironpaw, King Rex and Bladeback, Night Stalker, Overslay and Haymaker and Sencho Barbossa in the news.[4]

- King Rex is a remold of Overslay with a new head. He turns from robotic tyrannosaurus rex into a microcassette. He comes with two weapons.
- He is often sold bundled with Haymaker.
- This mold was to be recolored into G2lock.
