Jillian Rigert, MD, DMD, ACC, is an executive coach, speaker, writer, and founder of Jillian Rigert Coaching & Consulting (A Life True to You). Based in Houston, Texas, Dr. Rigert is widely recognized for her work in values-aligned leadership, trauma-informed coaching, and professional well-being. Her career uniquely bridges medicine, dentistry, research, and executive coaching, giving her a multifaceted perspective on how professionals can thrive while staying true to themselves.

Dr. Rigert earned her Bachelor of Arts in Biology/Pre-Dentistry with a minor in Biochemistry from Augustana College (2006–2010), followed by her Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) from the Southern Illinois University School of Dental Medicine (2009–2013). She went on to complete her Doctor of Medicine (MD) at the University of North Carolina School of Medicine, with residency training in oral medicine at Carolinas Medical Center (Atrium Health). Early in her career, she entered fast-track oral and maxillofacial surgery training as an active-duty resident in the U.S. Air Force before pivoting to oral medicine for health reasons, a transition she has spoken about publicly.

Her academic and clinical journey led her to MD Anderson Cancer Center, where she contributed as a postdoctoral fellow and later as a senior research project manager in Radiation Oncology, collaborating with leading researchers such as Steven J. Frank and Clifton D. Fuller. In addition, she has served the community through clinical roles at Interfaith Community Clinic in The Woodlands, Texas, and coaches executives through Bridgeline Executive Coaching.

As a certified ICF ACC coach with specialized training in trauma-informed and leadership coaching, Dr. Rigert has guided physicians, healthcare leaders, and professionals across industries toward more purposeful careers and lives. Her impact has been recognized in features by MD Anderson Cancerwise and through her invitation to speak at diverse events, including her TEDx talk “How to Find Your Self-Worth and Own Your Life.”

Dr. Rigert is also a prolific writer and speaker.
