Hornetroid is a fictional character from the Micronauts series introduced in 1979.

Micronauts

Hornetroid is a fictional character or vehicle in the Micronauts series. Just as Antron, he comes from the far off galaxy of Thoraxid.

In a Mego catalog an Antron can be seen piloting Hornetroid and Sharkos.[1]

The Hornetroid was developed as a dragonfly, but his name suggests it is a hornet.

The box for the Hornetroid refers to him as a "myrapod", which is actually the group of animals that includes centipedes and millipedes, not hornets or dragonflies.
