Early Life
Calynn M. Lawrence launched her blog in January 2011 at the age of 15 as part of her application for a retail business internship at the downtown Chicago Nordstrom mall. Over the next three years, she developed expertise in sales, marketing, media, and modeling, laying the foundation for her future success. She went on to earn degrees in Business and Humanities, a Master of Science in Management and Leadership, and a Doctorate in Pastoral Counseling.
Career
Dr. Lawrence is a highly accomplished businesswoman and media personality. As a journalist, she has written for major publications and hosted live cable television. She has attended prestigious events, including New York Fashion Week, LA Fashion Week, Paris Fashion Week, Chicago Fashion Week, Latino Fashion Week, and Black Fashion Week, as a VIP media guest.
As an entrepreneur, she is the CEO of Calynn Communications & Creative, a media and marketing conglomerate. She founded The Fresh Faces Project, a nonprofit initiative benefiting over 900 small businesses and talents globally by offering marketing, PR, and networking support.
Her contributions have earned her numerous accolades, including multiple Person of the Year and Virtual Visionary Awards, reflecting her dedication to empowering marginalized communities.
