Giant Acroyear is a fictional character in the Micronauts series introduced in 1977.

Giant Acroyear is a character from the Micronauts series. He is a Giant Robot and Small Rocket Plane who breaks apart into two Small Robots, a Missile Launching Vehicle and Large Rocket Plane.

Development

The Giant Acroyear toy was designed by Iwakichi Ogawa and was filed for US patent in 1978.[1]

Giant Acroyear was released by Mego in 1977. Is was also released by Airfix and Grand Toys.

In 2018 several Giant Acroyear parts were released on Shapeways by Mathew Robert Ignash.

1979 Marvel Comics

The various components of the Giant Acroyear appeared in the Marvel Comics Micronauts series several times.

In issue 1 of the Marvel Comics Micronauts series Baron Karza's Death Tank contained Giant Acroyear parts.

The arm robots appeared as Acroyear pilots of the Battle Cruiser.

Numerous vehicles made from Giant Acroyear parts were among the Acroyear Battle Fleet in issue 9.

Giant Acroyear were among the Acroyear forces in Micronauts issue 11.
