Dr. Vinson Eugene Allen

Dr. Vinson Eugene Allen, is a African American Medical Pioneer and Business man. Born in Cleveland, Mississippi in 1966, embarked on a remarkable journey from medical physician to medical pioneer. After graduating from Delta State University with Bachelor's degrees in Biology and Chemistry in 1988, he further honed his skills by earning a Bachelor of Science in Education (Biology & Chemistry) and a Bachelor's in Respiratory Therapy from the University of South Alabama the following year.
He then went on to pursue his medical aspirations, earning his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine in 1994. Following his residency at the Historic King Drew Medical Center in 1997, as a Emergency Medicine Physician. Dr. Allen's dedication to serving the Los Angeles community materialized in the establishment of Dusk to Dawn Urgent Care in 2001. This endeavor, which later expanded into a chain of urgent care facilities across Los Angeles and Orange County in 2003, earned Dr. Allen the distinction of being the first African American to pioneer an urgent care chain in the United States.
