Early Life
Dorothea Gloria was born in Manila, Philippines. Growing up, she developed a strong passion for the performing arts, which led her to participate in various theater productions in her home country. She performed with renowned companies such as Repertory Philippines, PETA (Philippine Educational Theater Association), and the Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP), where she honed her skills as an actress.
Career
Dorothea is currently based in New York City, where she works as an actor, writer, producer, and educator. She serves as a teaching artist in several NYC schools and is a resident artist with Spellbound Theatre and Hedgepig Ensemble Theatre.
Her theater credits include performances at prestigious venues like La MaMa Experimental Theatre Club, Rattlestick Playwrights, and the Lucille Lortel Theater. In the Philippines, she earned critical acclaim and was awarded BroadwayWorld’s Best Featured Actress for her work with Repertory Philippines.
In addition to her theater work, Dorothea enjoys juggling and practicing flow arts, often seen perfecting her craft in Bryant Park.
