Early Life
Courting formed in 2018 in Liverpool, United Kingdom, and quickly became known for their high-energy live performances and sharp, witty lyricism. Career
In 2021, Courting released their self-titled debut project, which received widespread attention for its raw energy and modern take on post-punk. Their ability to marry sharp guitar work with melodic sensibilities made them stand out in the crowded indie scene, and soon they began gaining a strong fan base.
In 2023, Courting released *Lust For Life, Or: ‘How To Thread The Needle And Come Out The Other Side To Tell The Story* — an album that expanded their sound even further. The lead single, “Pause At You,” was highlighted for its explosive momentum and catchy melody, earning it a spot on several “Best Songs of the Week” lists. Their second single, “After You,” continued this trend of high energy with its fast pace and anthemic chorus, demonstrating the band’s ability to combine punk intensity with pop appeal.
The band’s sound has also attracted a wide range of collaborations, including a cover of Olivia Rodrigo’s “Good 4 U” and a collaboration with DJ Sabrina The Teenage DJ, further showing the band's versatility and eclectic approach to music-making.
