The Constitution of the People's Republic of Bangladesh is the supreme law of Bangladesh's independent and sovereign state. It is a written document. The National Parliament of Bangladesh adopted this constitution on 4 November 1972 and came into effect on 16 December of the same year, the first anniversary of Bangladesh's Victory Day.
