Brittanye Morris was Born and raised in Houston, Brittanye is a proud product of her community. With her parents serving as outstanding examples of public service, Brittanye learned early on the importance of dedication, hard work, and making a positive impact on the lives of others. Graduating cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Houston, she went on to earn her Doctor of Jurisprudence from the prestigious Thurgood Marshall School of Law at Texas Southern University. Brittanye holds State Bar of Texas Admissions spanning the Southern, Eastern, Northern, and Western Districts of Texas.

Born and raised in the vibrant city of Houston, Brittanye Morris always knew she was destined to serve her community. Guided by the example of her parents—an educator and a retired lieutenant with the Houston Police Department—Brittanye was instilled with a sense of duty and a passion for making a positive impact on the lives of others. It was this foundation that shaped her journey, ultimately leading her to become a respected State District Court Judge and Licensed Attorney in Harris County.

Career

Brittanye's path began with a spirited dedication to her education. Excelling in academics, she graduated high school in just three years while balancing her commitments as a cheerleader and a debate team member. Her exceptional performance earned her a place at the University of Houston, where she graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. It was during this time that Brittanye discovered her true calling: advocating for justice and equality within her community.

Inspired by her academic background and her parents' unwavering commitment to public service, Brittanye pursued her legal education at the prestigious Thurgood Marshall School of Law at Texas Southern University. Here, she honed her skills as a future leader and advocate, representing the law school as a member of its renowned mock trial program.

With a Doctor of Jurisprudence in hand, Brittanye embarked on a legal career dedicated to empowering minorities and underrepresented communities. Her journey took her through various esteemed firms, where she served in numerous capacities, advocating for clients and contributing to over 300 litigation cases. Brittanye also made her mark as the former Managing Partner for The Morris Law Firm, demonstrating her exceptional leadership capabilities.

As a State District Court Judge and Licensed Attorney with over seven years of experience, Brittanye has earned a reputation for her steadfast commitment to ensuring equality both in and out of the courtroom. Throughout her legal career, Brittanye has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to advocating for minority and underrepresented communities. Before her appointment as State District Court Judge in 2021, she served in various capacities at esteemed firms, including the Office of David G. Peake, Chapter 13 Bankruptcy Trustee, The Aldine Independent School District, and Mackie Wolf Zientz & Mann, P.C., where she contributed to over 300 litigation cases. She also acted as the former Managing Partner for The Morris Law Firm.

Adept at creating actionable propositions that lead to mutually beneficial outcomes, Judge Morris is known for her compassionate and accountable approach to each case. Her remarkable achievements include serving as an Adjunct Professor of Business Law at Houston Community College and representing the Thurgood Marshall School of Law as a member of its renowned mock trial program.
