Bilat Shaista (professionally known as Bil Sha) is a British boxing champion, entrepreneur, and mentor.[1] He is the founder of several ventures spanning property, sports promotion, and consulting, and is noted for his work in modular branding and ethical entrepreneurship.[2]
Early life and boxing career
Inspired by boxing legend Mike Tyson, Shaista began boxing as a teenager and competed in 16 amateur bouts between ages 17 and 19.[3] After a break for family commitments, he returned in 2007, entering the white-collar boxing circuit.
In 2019, he became the London Featherweight Champion with a TKO win over Reece Houghton.[4] He later joined the GBBU (Global Boxing Union), continuing an undefeated run, including a first-round knockout at York Hall in 2021.[5]
Entrepreneurial ventures
Alongside his boxing career, Shaista built a reputation as an entrepreneur. He founded Bil Sha Consulting, a strategic advisory firm shortlisted for Best Business Start-Up and Best Male Entrepreneur of the Year in 2025.[1] His portfolio includes property development, commercial services, and sports promotion.
Through Undisputed Sports Promotions and the Bil Sha Boxing Club, he has supported fighters from diverse backgrounds and organized events blending sport with community development.[4][3]
He also works with Allen Goldstein, a London-based real estate firm, expanding his influence in the property sector.[6]
Philosophy and impact
Shaista is a proponent of modular branding systems, strategic delegation, and ethical entrepreneurship. He mentors emerging leaders, particularly from underrepresented groups, and has been profiled in outlets such as ABC Money, Disruptors Magazine, and The European Business Review.[2][1]
Recognition
Shaista has been recognized for his dual career in sport and business, combining athletic success with entrepreneurial ventures. He continues to engage in public speaking, mentorship, and partnerships aimed at community empowerment.[3]
