The Battle Cruiser is a fictional vehicle in the Micronauts series introduced in 1977.

The Battle Cruiser is a vehicle in the Micronauts series.
Development
The Battle Cruiser toy was designed by Iwakichi Ogawa and was filed for US patent in 1978.[1]
The Battle Cruiser was released by Mego in 1977.
In 1987 Hour Toys released the Inter-Changeables Cosmic Attack Cruiser, a recolor of the Battle Cruiser.
According to Bryan Wilkinson on Facebook, when Palisades Toys was first planning on Micronauts toys to release they had hoped to release Battle Cruiser. This toy was never released by Palisades Toys.
According to Bryan Wilkinson on Facebook, one concept considered by Palisades Toys for Space Gliders was including stickers which would denote if he was the captain of a Battle Cruiser or Mobile Exploration Lab.
In 2018 several replacement parts and upgrades for the Battle Cruiser were released on Shapeways by Mathew Robert Ignash.

Comics
1979 Marvel Comics

Battle Cruisers, initially called "Galactic Cruisers", first appeared in issue 2 of the Marvel Comics Micronauts series piloted by Shaitan and his Acroyear warriors in pursuit of the Micronauts.
He continues to chase them in issue 3, where the Cruisers are destroyed in battle on Earth and recovered by humans.
A Battle Cruiser is seen again in a flashback to the battle in issue 8.
In issue 14 Warstaff attempts to escape his world in a Battle Cruiser, but is shot down by Bug.
Battle Cruisers and Thorium Orbiters are among Baron Karza's fleet when it invaded Earth in issue 27-28.

Several Battle Cruisers were seen among Baron Karza's fleet in Micronauts Karza number 4 by Image Comics.
2018 Micronauts Protectors of Inner Space

Battle Cruisers appear in the 2018 art series Micronauts Protectors of Inner Space by Brian Vox. The main characters of the series pilot a Battle Cruiser called the Eagleburst XLV. Battle Cruisers appear on the cover of issues 1, 2, 7, 11 and 12.
