Asif Ahamed Khan Shurid (born 2 November 1996), known professionally as Asif Khan or simply Asif, is a Bangladeshi music composer and singer. His songs have been featured in various albums and broadcast on television channels. He first gained recognition as the first runner-up in Valobashi Bangladesh (2013), a patriotic song competition aired on Machranga Television. Over the years, he has received several *Rising Youth Male Singer Awards* from various national organizations.

Early life and education

Asif was born in Comilla, Bangladesh, to Md. Anisuzzaman Khan and Lutfun Nahar Rekha. He has a younger brother, Abid Ahmed Khan Shupto. In 2020, he married Sumaiya Alam Nijhum, and together they have a daughter, Amirah Asif Khan.

He studied at Jatrabari Ideal School & College, completing his SSC in 2012, followed by HSC at Dr. Mahbubur Rahman Mollah College (2012–2014). Later, he pursued higher education at North South University, graduating with a BBA degree in 2020.

Music career

Asif began learning music at Srijon Lalitakala Academy between 2007 and 2012, under the mentorship of Ustad Masood Rana. After completing his initial training, he continued advanced lessons directly under Rana. In 2012, he further developed his musical skills by learning guitar from Afsar Khokan, under the mentorship of Amit Shikder.

His breakthrough came in 2013, when he became the first runner-up in the patriotic song reality show Valobashi Bangladesh on Machranga Television.

In 2016, Asif released his first solo album, Tumi K?, under G-Series. The album included six solo and two duet tracks, with singers Sabrina Nowshin Tushi and Jannat Omi as co-artists. Music composition was done by Mahbubul Alam Shohel, while Romel Hasan handled audio mixing and mastering. He also composed and performed the theme song for Dr. Mahbubur Rahman Mollah College.

Currently, Asif regularly performs in audio albums, on television, social media, and live stages across Bangladesh.
