Mohamed Al Hashemi (born July 15, 1986) is an Emirati business executive, author, and strategic leader currently serving as the Chief Executive Officer of Union Coop, one of the largest retail cooperatives in the United Arab Emirates. He is recognized for his leadership roles across retail, finance, and entertainment sectors in the Middle East.

Early Career
Al Hashemi began his professional journey in the banking sector at Emirates Islamic Bank, where he developed experience in corporate finance across the aviation, retail, and construction industries.
He later joined Majid Al Futtaim Group, holding progressively senior leadership positions. His roles included Head of Treasury for the Retail Division (Carrefour), Director of Management Reporting and Analysis, and Director of Business Development and Marketing for the Healthcare Division.
Regional Leadership
A significant milestone in his career was his appointment as Regional President for Majid Al Futtaim’s Leisure, Entertainment & Cinemas division in Saudi Arabia. In this role, he led a team of more than 1,300 employees and contributed to the expansion of the VOX Cinemas brand within the Kingdom.
His tenure focused on operational performance, customer experience, and market expansion within the entertainment sector.
Union Coop
In December 2023, Al Hashemi was appointed Chief Executive Officer of Union Coop. Since assuming the role, he has overseen strategic modernization initiatives across the cooperative’s retail operations.
