Ko-Cheng Fang (born March 31, 1962) is a Taiwanese inventor, entrepreneur, scientist, and artist. He is the Founder, Chairman, and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of LongServing Technology. His work spans photonic quantum computing, artificial intelligence robotics, laboratory-grown jadeite materials, biotechnology, and cross-cultural fine art.

Early Life

Ko-Cheng Fang was born in Taoyuan, Taiwan. From an early age, he demonstrated interests in both science and art, later developing expertise across technology innovation and traditional as well as Western painting disciplines.

Career

Early Career and Cybersecurity Research

Dr. Fang developed patented technologies related to cloud storage systems and programmable password locks. These innovations were reportedly adopted by the United States Department of Homeland Security, contributing to developments in cloud computing and information security applications.

Laboratory-Grown Imperial Green Jadeite

He pioneered the development of gem-grade laboratory-grown Imperial Green jadeite designed for high-end jewelry applications. This innovation integrates crystal growth engineering, advanced materials science, and aesthetic craftsmanship.

Photonic Quantum Materials and X-Photon

In photonic quantum computing research, Dr. Fang developed a photonic quantum material capable of emitting light at a 2-nanometer wavelength, referred to as “X-Photon.” The material is designed for nanoscale photonic pathways, photonic transistors, and next-generation photonic quantum chips. His research explores optical-based computing systems beyond conventional electron-based semiconductor limitations.

7-Nanometer Photomask Fabrication

He completed the development of a 7-nanometer photomask for photonic chip fabrication, advancing nanoscale manufacturing precision and chip design integration.

Biotechnology Research

Dr. Fang has directed biotechnology research involving natural plant extract compounds with potential antiviral and anti-tumor properties. LongServing Technology conducted in vitro experiments indicating inhibitory effects on human liver cancer (Huh7) and lung cancer (A549) cell lines under specific laboratory conditions.

Art and Painting

Dr. Fang began painting during childhood, initially studying traditional Chinese bird-and-flower Gongbi techniques. He later expanded into Western watercolor and oil painting, forming a distinctive cross-cultural artistic style characterized by:

  • Detailed brushwork reflecting traditional Gongbi precision
  • Realism influenced by classical Western traditions
  • Color composition and light-shadow transitions reminiscent of Impressionist aesthetics

His artworks were included in the publication Glory of the Chinese – Global Ambassadors of Chinese Culture world stamp collection. Limited-edition stamps featuring his works were issued by postal authorities in Malaysia, South Korea, Japan, and Ukraine.

On January 13, 2026, his artwork was displayed publicly on a large digital screen in Times Square, New York.
