Mary Rose Tenten Muñoz (October 10, 1976 - June 12, 1996) professionally better known as Tenten Muñoz was a Filipina musical artist who became popular with her 1991 hit, Kaba. She was also an actress, known for Barbi: Maid in the Philippines (1989).
Early life
On October 10, 1977, Mary Rose Tenten Muñoz was born in Manila.
Music career
In 1991, Tenten Muñoz had launched her music career with her self-titled album. It includes her signature song, Kaba, which is now covered by Tootsie Guevara and Jodi Sta. Maria.
She performed and was a guest on various concerts and shows. She left Manila for the United States to pursue her education as a high school student.
Death
In 1996, Muñoz had reportedly suffered brain cancer while she lived in the United States pursuing her college education. She was admitted to the hospital and underwent procedure. On June 28, 1996, Muñoz died at the age of 19 before she was about to go home from the hospital, as confirmed by her friend.
She was cremated and her ashes were brought by her family to their home. Her friends and relatives paid their last respects.
